Simple Chicken Chow Mein RecipeMy husband truly loves my simple chicken chow mein recipe, he thinks that it is so tasty, that he claims he could eat it at least 3 days a week. I love the recipe myself and I would love to hear how your experience went; share it by commenting below.

Ingredients :

  • 12 ounces of regular noodles
  • 8 ounces of boneless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of some dry sherry or rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon of dark sesame oil
  • 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 2 ounces of snow peas with the ends removed
  • 4 ounces of bean sprouts
  • 2 ounces finely shreddedham
  • 4 finely chopped scallions
  • Sprinkle fresh ground black pepper and saIt to taste

Directions :

    1. Add noodles to boiling water in a medium saucepan and boil until tender. Afterwards, drain the noodles and rinse them under cold water.

    2. Slice up the boneless chicken breasts into 2 inch shreds. Place the chicken breast shreds into a bowl and add the dry sherry or rice wine, 1 tablespoon of dark sesame oil and 2 teaspoons of soy sauce.

    3. Now heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wok or a big frying pan on high heat. Once the vegetable oil begins to smoke, add the chicken mix from step 2 and stir fry the ingredients for 2 minutes. Put the chicken onto a plate and keep the temperature hot.

    4. Clean off the wok by wiping it with a paper towel and add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Now stir in the bean sprouts, garlic, snow peas, shredded ham, and stir fry the ingredients for a minute, then add the noodles.

    5. Stir fry the ingredients until the noodles are at temperature. Add one tablespoon of soy sauce, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Finally mix all the ingredients together in the wok
